Henley probably wrote the bulk of the lyrics, but that's Glenn. He was a brilliant pianist, classically trained since he was a very young kid. He was laughs a joy to be around. The musician later got sick with diverticulitis, an infection in the colon, and underwent surgery in This led to Henley visiting him in the hospital. Frey's medical issues were reoccurring during that time. Then, the "History of the Eagles" tour kicked off in It was the last tour for Frey. Shows lasted until summer By November of that year, Frey underwent surgery again.
He ended up in a coma and later died in January due to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, according to doctors. With time, his inflammation spread and became systemic, causing multiple complications. A pending lawsuit filed by Frey's widow, Cindy Millican, claims that the hospital and gastroenterologist neglected to properly diagnose and treat Frey.
